The Year I Had Cancer

Looking back to the fall of 2023, I was working part-time as a Registered Nurse—but something wasn’t right. My body was failing me in ways I couldn’t explain. I was exhausted, in pain, and constantly fatigued. My joints ached. I felt like I had poison running through my veins—words I actually told my doctor. I wanted to care for my patients, but I barely had the strength to care for myself. I’d even fall asleep trying to finish my charting. This wasn’t the nurse I used to be.

Desperate for answers, I sought help from multiple wellness practitioners. I had hair and saliva tests, spent thousands on bloodwork, and was told I had mold toxicity, a compromised immune system, low protein, and possible Lyme disease. It was something, but not the whole picture. Despite following a protocol, my health continued to decline. Depression, brain fog, and physical weakness became my daily reality.

Then I noticed a lump in my right breast. I dismissed it at first. I had dense breast tissue and benign cysts in the past. Two years earlier, I’d gone through a thyroid cancer scare that turned out to be benign, but emotionally devastating. I wasn’t ready for more fear. And like many in America, I was also facing a new insurance deductible in the new year—so I put off further testing, even as the lump kept growing.

The Diagnosis That Changed Everything

On July 19, 2024, I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Cancer. It was devastating—but also a strange relief. I finally had an answer for the way I had been feeling since the previous fall.

Just one month later, on August 20th, I woke up with severe leg pain and cramps. I had no idea what was happening. I soon learned the cancer had metastasized to my spine and pelvis. A tumor was pressing on my spinal cord, impairing my ability to walk. The diagnosis: Stage 4 Breast Cancer. I had been praying for Stage 2 or 3... but Stage 4?

The oncologist at MD Anderson told me I’d likely be on chemotherapy pills for the rest of my life. But that didn’t sit right with me. To me, that wasn’t truly living.

A New Path to Healing

In the middle of the fear and darkness, God made a way. In August, I met a man who had overcome leukemia naturally, and he shared his story with me. That encounter changed everything. I began to pray, fast, and ask God for guidance in every decision—from what to eat to what supplements to take.

On July 20th, just a day after my diagnosis, I transitioned to a whole-food, plant-based diet, removing toxins and processed foods from my life. My rule was simple: If God didn’t make it, I didn’t eat it.

I began a protocol of hypernutrition, targeted supplementation, and biblical eating. I trusted that my body was designed to heal, as long as I gave it what it truly needed. Faith became my compass. Every step I took was prayer-led and spirit-directed.

One Year Later: I Am Free

I had Stage 4 cancer for one year—but today, I am free. Free from the cancer, and free from the fear that once held me captive.

This experience didn’t just change my health—it changed my life. I’m now on a mission to educate and empower others, sharing the message that healing is possible. That you can take back your health. That you are not powerless. And that faith, food, and fighting for your life can lead to freedom.

If you’re in the middle of your own health crisis: don’t give up. Ask questions. Seek truth. And most importantly—ask God what your next step should be. He is still in the healing business.
